Dirty Dango is set to bring his hatred for pro wrestling to the 1000th episode of Impact Wrestling. Impact has announced that the former Fandango will face off against Jake Something on the special episode. This will be the first-ever match between the two competitors.
The decision to book Dango vs. Something came after their ongoing issues were showcased on Impact. In the main event of this week’s episode, Something teamed up with IWGP World Heavyweight Champion SANADA and Frankie Kazarian to defeat Eddie Edwards, Moose, and Brian Myers. Meanwhile, Dango and Alpha Bravo were seen watching the match on a monitor backstage. Earlier this month, Dango secured a victory over Bhupinder Gujjar in a singles match, where he took the opportunity to express his disdain for pro wrestling on the microphone. Bravo assisted Dango in securing the win, but after the match, Dango continued to criticize pro wrestling until Something emerged to confront him. Dango was then told to leave the business if he didn’t like it, prompting him to leave the ring while Bravo kept Something distracted. Dango attempted a sneak attack on Something, but it ultimately backfired, resulting in Dango retreating.
The 1000th episode of Impact is scheduled to air on Thursday, September 14, as the post-Victory Road show. The special episode will be taped on Saturday, September 9, at the Westchester County Center in White Plains, NY. Additional episodes will also be taped that night to carry Impact to Bound For Glory on Saturday, October 21. The Impact 1000 taping will take place the day after the 2023 Victory Road pay-per-view, which will also be held at the Westchester County Center.

- Other current and former Impact stars will be announced
